I stayed at The Mystic Forest on 4 and 5 December 2015. This resort is located inside a tea state. It is located about 5 km away from the Jeep Safari point of the Jaldapara reverse forest. The manager of the resort, Mr. Nilanjan Guha took great care of the guests. My room was okay for two persons. The bathroom had a geyser. However, in the first night, electricity was not available after the midnight. The torch that I carried was very helpful when I got ready for the morning safari. The food was good and the portions were large. Overall, my stay at The Mystic Forest was very enjoyable.

This is my worst experience staying in a hotel. People are cheated by Guha. He cheats people by a smile. Food is worst. No menu choice for food. They will charge extra which are not written. After you reach, they will ask for money for tribal dance and after that you will see some drunk people are dancing and I lost Rs. 500. I booked this hotel after seeing reviews, now I understand who post those reviews. They will not provide any site seeing support, no suggestions. Only smile to take your money. Food charges are high like big hotels.

Mr. Guha was instrumental in making this stay as memorable as any, anywhere! We were treated with his kind attention the entire visit. He prepared meals that were golden experiences not to be forgotten. He always had hot tea prepared for us, special bon bons and extra treats of local recipes. Our meals were most enjoyable and pleasant experiences with Mr. Guha standing close by to serve us and tempt us with evermore interesting and varied dishes. His attention to detail with his very competent staff ensured us a stay that was exciting and filled with wonder. He made sure we tracked and saw wild elephants, visited the large big cat sanctuary where he knew all the caregivers of the establishment as well as most of the leopards and tigers. We explored villages and were treated to his knowledge of the surrounding tea plantations and the workers in the villages. Mr. Guha was instrumental in making our visit one not to forget. We hold him very close in this extended trip of India as he is a person one doesn't forget. His kind nature, his openness, his willingness to extend all effort to insure us a most memorable and exciting stay possible will remain in our minds as a JEWEL OF INDIA. We thank him for his graciousness and eager-to-please personality. THANK YOU MR. GUHA.
